Sonia Fredericks, SLT, is an SLP In Guyana and was trained as a Rehabilitation Assistant under the Ministry of Health. She worked in the Speech and Language Therapy Department over a period of 8 years as an Assistant where she developed her passion for the field of work. In 2014, our sole University joined America Speech Hearing Association (ASHA) and developed the 1st SLP and Audiology Bachelor’s Degree program. Ms. Fredericks was part of the first cohort to graduate from the program and continues to service under the Ministry of Health, Disability and Rehabilitation services. She loves her job and presently finds her passion in working with children with Autism and persons with feeding and swallowing problems. Unlimited
