Matthew Carter joined the Valdosta State University faculty in July 2007. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy in communication sciences and disorders and Master of Science in speech, language, and auditory pathology, both from East Carolina University. He holds a Bachelor of Science in communication studies from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. He is a licensed speech-language pathologist through the State of Georgia Board for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and holds the certificate of clinical competence in speech language pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. He holds membership in the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and the Georgia Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Before entering the field of higher education, he worked as a speech-language pathologist at Venture Rehabilitation Group. Unlimited
