Lisa Young Milliken received her BA from Louisiana Tech University and her MA from The University of Memphis in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology. She has since served as a clinician, manager, vice president, consultant, compliance manager and education director, and is most passionate about mentoring healthcare professionals across the country. She currently provides continuing education and support to therapists and customers in over 900 sites nationwide as Education Specialist for Select Rehabilitation. She has authored and lectured at the national and state level with over 200 professional continuing education courses on a wide range of topics of importance to the healthcare professional.
Lisa is a Distinguished Fellow of the National Academies of Practice, where she is a Member of the Forum Planning Committee and serves as Co- Chair of the Networking Subcommittee and Co- Chair of Education/Training and Practice Partnerships. She is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), where she currently serves as a State Advocate for Medicare Policy (StAMP) for Texas. She also serves on the Texas Speech-Language and Hearing Association (TSHA) Executive Council, and on numerous committees for this organization to include Councilor for TSHA Professional Services, TSHA Medical Committee, TSHA Business Management Committee, TSHA Finance Advisory Committee and the TSHA Publication Board. She is a prior board president of the Louisiana Speech-Language and Hearing Association (LSHA) and a past member of the Council of State Association Presidents (CSAP).
