Lauren Hermann is a medically-based speech-language pathologist who is passionate about raising awareness around what SLPs are capable of doing across the lifespan as well as how to improve interprofessional collaboration. She recently published a book sharing stories of her work experience along with short stories contributed by other SLPs across the US. Her book, titled “But My Speech Is Fine,” is meant to dispel the occupational myths of speech-language pathology and take a step in the right direction towards improved awareness of our field.
