Erica DelVal completed her undergraduate training in communicative disorders at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon. Then went straight through to graduate school at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, and earned her MS in Communicative Disorders.
Once out of school, she landed a position at Kern County Superintendent of Schools in Bakersfield CA and stayed for 8 years. She worked in various districts and specialized classes. She then moved to Visalia Unified School District also in CA and has worked there for the past 29 years. Also, during that time, for a few years, she worked after school in a private practice. Although experienced in the junior high and high school levels, her “first love” is working with preschool and elementary aged kids.
She relates that she’s seen and experienced a lot of changes through the years, but it’s been a great and fulfilling 38-year career. Unlimited
